first thing i would do is swap the o2 sensors rest the computer and make 100% sure that it isnt the 02 sensor. (if it is the problem will be on bank2 now)

Then i would swap the exstentions and see if the problem follows it. Then check the wires and make sure the arnt burnt or cracked or being grounded out on something.

If all that is fine the maybe that bank is running rich or lean from a burt wire or bad plug.

Helpful hint from Moderator:

Just curious.... why did you put all the "-----" in the first line of your post? It really reduces the chances of getting help, since the "preview" the viewer gets when he holds the cursor over the post is all "-----" and not the first line of the question. With a vague topic like "help me please", and not being able to read the first line with the "preview" feature, most people will just ignore the post and move on to the next one on the list.

I beleive I answered this on another forum (fbody.com???). Something is causing the driver's side pre-cat O2 sensor to read steady at less than 200mV. Could be a pinched wire, shorting the signal to gound. Could be a massive aire leak in the exahust before the O2, or near the O2. Could be a huge misfire on that bank. Could be a valve stuck open. Could actually be running lean on that side.

You have to systematically rule out each possible cause. Looking at the O2 sensor readings with a scanner might help.

Also what do you mean you "rewired" the sesor wires?

From what i have heard this is not something you want to do because of how sesative the out put of the 02's are.

If you got some jerry rigging going on with the 02's wires go ut and buy the proper wireing for it!

but different wire and all that solder your goopin on them has resistance and it skews the reeading

and a good hint, if you want people to help you in the future dont be a smart *** when they make suggestions, especially being that the problem was most likely with your wiring and switching the sensors probally just wiggled the wire

from what ive heard no matter how good at soldering one is, "custom extending" the o2 sensors can cause problems with resistance.. id just spring for the extensions.

they dont soder then, they apply gold coated conectors to the end of each wire that plugs into the 02 sensor and the orginal 02 sensor wire.

Trust me i have heard nothing but people having trouble when soldering the 02 wires.

$50 now is well worth not having to pay hundreds in diagnostic trouble shooting a tear down the road. And trust me if you brought it to a non fbody mechanic/shop it would be a while before they fixed the problem!

Just put a few dollars away and pick some p in the future
