I've had both, but I'm much happier with the Hooker.

Thanks for all the input guys, I think I will go with the Hooker muffler after all. Also, if you go to jegs.com and look at the Flowmaster 80 series mufflers, they claim a 30hp and 40lbs ft torque gain...... I couldn't help but laugh(if it is true, then for it is the greatest mod for your dollar!)

No problem, I like everyone telling me how they like how good it sounds.

I have a hooker LT, a 4inch mufflex y-pipe (no cats) and a Hooker cat back. Sounds quite inside the car, almost stock. But out side the car is another story! Very nice and deep, and when you go WOT it freaken screams! The most noise you'll hear from the hooker diveing normal is at 2500 rpm, thats it's sweet spot. Even still at 2500rpm it is only loud if you a accelerating. if you just driving at 2500rpm it's still pretty quite inside. Enjoy the you hooker cat back!

Got the Hooker installed today and its not quite as loud as I like. But it has some decent top end power...this is the cat back by the way. The Flowmaster was definately louder. But since I am getting LTs and a CC305, I think the Hooker will do me just fine.

I remember mine not beeing all that loud at first, it will get louder in the next couple hundred miles. Just let it break in! But like alot of us are saying, it's not real loud inside the car but out side the car you'll hear the sound of a mean a$s mucle car. And it does get loud. just not cut-out loud or loudmouth loud!

Trust me

Ditto! I have the 80's series and no cats. I am very pleased with how mine sounds. The Flowmaster gives a great tone and sound whether you are idle, WOT, or barely pushing the gas.
