local tranny shop who is well known quoted me about $1300 to rebuild my a4 tranny with a shiftkit, corvette servos and a 1-2 shift sillenoid. i dont really know what all this means lol, not a tranny guy. he told me that the 1-2 shifts suck from the factory and i told him thats odd because my car used to get sideways shifting to second. he also told me something about these trannys sticking in reverse or something. anyways.. is $1300 a pretty decent price for a complete rebuild with those extra options? thanks in advance!

I got mine for 725 with the vete servos (some people say we already have them..) and FULL rebuild with a cooler. And a 3 month warranty. Im very happy with the results. Just call around and find a reputable shop (dont go to a dealer as you probably already know) and ask around.
