Help me hit 12s please...

With my mods now I figure im running solid 13.8s - 14.2s or so. I would like to be running high 12s or less, what mods should I do. Heads, cam and gears?

any other suggestions?

You know, looking at your mods list, you have about as much as a guy I know who runs 12.8x @ 108.xx. You should me mid-lower 13's with the exhaust and headers as you sit right now. Get that thing to a track and get some good ideas where you're running.

these cars run solid 13.8 - 14.2 bone stock...I would almost expect you to be able to manage a 12 as it sits if you can get a good low 60' time

i agree with the above. granted you may have to battle a bit higher elevation than some (not sure how high you are).

i'd say your next step should be TRACTION. get some lca's, brackets, and maybe a torque arm or at least a poly torque arm bushing, and then some good sticky tires. and if you aren't too concered with road manners, maybe some drag shocks for the rear.

some other smaller things to do before ripping into the top end would be a good computer reprogram (madwolf or pcmforless), some good weight reduction, 85mm Z06 maf (arguable gains), and an electric wp.

a bit more involved would be some 1.6rr

but as i said, traction is your biggest concern now.

You should be fairly close right now.

I had pretty similiar mods to you (long tubes however and gears) and ran 13.1 (12.76 SAE corrected times). Go run her and see how she does. A great launch is the key.

The only way is through nitrous. All those other mods only get you .5 at most.

Good 1/4 mile times are all in your 60 foot.

How hard you launch off the line and how well you hook.

I ran a 13.6 at the end of the season last year. I have not ran this year yet cause the car is apart for tranny rebuild.
Without headers and no internal engine mods, just 3.73,s and Ed Wright tune, 2.1 sixty foot time on Potenza RE730,s.
Traction is the key you should be running low 13,s with your mods.

Those mods you have should get you real close if you're not already there. If you're only running a 13.8 to 14.2 with those mods you've got some problems...

You say you figure you should be running high 13's, is that just what you think it will run or what it has actually run? You could be at least in the low 13's with your mods as it is assuming you can drive pretty well. With a good 60' (2.0 or better) I'd bet you would run low 13's at least. I along with many others reached the 12's with just bolt ons - no cam or head work.
