the other day i was driving my car, I was accelerating in third gear when the car just looses power from the engine, i checked my gauges and the oil gauge dropped completely.. I dont really know where to start to fix it, when you turn the key, it cranks, and wants to turn on but just doesnt turn over.. again the oil pressure gauge doesnt even move when I turn the key..
the car has 95k miles on it and the check engine light was on because my cat is bad.. I also noticed a wrotten egg smell when i was trying to turn the car on.. any ideas? thanks in advance everyone..

 

Is it possible your cat melted and plugged up the exhaust completely?

 

Sulfur smell = bad cat (in my experience), check into it.

 

Does not sound good. Something like this happened to me but it was a friend driving it. A piston had cracked and damaged the block. Let us know if you find out anything
