Help me decide
Help me decide
ok so heres the deal.
i own a 87iroc that i love and dumped a crap load of cash into.
well i found a 94z with 65k on it for 4500bucks.
i own a 2000pontiac grandam gt and would prolly sell it to get the z.
so if the car is in nice shape and sounds good should i get it?
or stick it into my 87?
do all you 4th gen guys love your lt1 ?
thanks guys
(oh by the way i wasnt sure where to put this so i stuck it in this thread)

Re: Help me decide
The newer looks are certainly a plus- working under the hood is certainly much more difficult, but you get used to it after a while. My best advice is to take it for a drive and see what you think.
About all of us that own LT1s like them quite a bit, low end punch and instant throttle response combined with greater RPM capability over previous production SBCs. The LT1 has a personality that's just addictive is all I can really say. The price is right, and if it's in good condition, I'd buy it (if I was in the market). The LS1 has more power of course; if you were choosing between the two I'd suggest driving both to compare, but perhaps the LS1s are more than you want to buy right now?
Anyway, take it for a test drive, and then make your decision. The 4th Gen has quite a few improvements over the 3rd Gen, but at a cost of other things you might consider more important.
Is the car you're looking at auto or stick?

Re: Help me decide
the car is a auto.
the 87 i own has a 355 carb motor with all the goodies.
t56, moser 12bolt.
im just not sure if i need another car to sink money into. but if the 94 is clean its going to be hard for me to turn it down.
