IMHO, don't waste your money on roller tipped rockers. Full rollers are a better value. You will want to match springs to your cam.

I have a stock cam. I have no idea what rocker to get? They have em in 7/16th and 3/8th and they have so many different spring rates and such...

Can you shoot me to what i would need for a stock cam?

Get some comp cams pro mags, non self aligning, 7/16ths, guide plates, and some good springs.

I'll elaborate.

These guideplates:
http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=4&pcid=250

63-7808-16 Pushrods here:
http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=4&pcid=106

7/16" studs of your choice (Comp and ARP are the same):
http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=4&pcid=221

63-1305-16 1.6 RR here:
http://thunderracing.com/catalog/?ac...vid=4&pcid=108

This should be a complete valve spring kit that will work well with most cams

If you plan on sticking with a stock cam, going with a higher ratio Roller Rocker will affect the lift of the valves which in turn will also slilghtly modifiy the effective duration of your cam---- both of these affects should improve your power output. Whereas most move to 1.6 Ratio from the stock 1.5 when changing the cam, some go with an even higher ratio e.g. 1.65 or even 7 when just doing the valve train. I would seek the advice of Injuneer and others in the know for their advice concerning the ratio to use.

As far as the type and specs of the springs, make certain you get those recommended for the expected lift numbers along with sufficient strength to avoid coil bind. Having said that, I would advise going with a spring that would accommodate the specs of a cam that you "might" go with (as long as the pressures are not way out of whack----so that your stock cam would not suffer with too much pressures.

The consensus with a cam is to go with non-self adjusting Roller Rockers, which would require quide plates and hardened pushrods to ensure control over the RRs. You could opt of self-adjusting Rockers if you are sure that you won't be doing a cam or using higher than 1.6 Ratio Rockers.

Overall, going with full roller rockers with a 1.6 ratio and proper spring pressures is a good mod. The full rockers will result in lower friction and the higher lift should result in more power. JMHO

Yea im in cali the worst place in the US for modding car's! This car is staying smog legal so the largest cam i might go with would be something that is 50-state legal.

Im going ahead and ordering the above if everyone think's it's good? My cam will stay stock for awhile.

If you are going to keep the stock cam, I would just go with CC Pro Magnums, 3/8" stud (which is stock), SA (self aligning). You would not need to change studs or add guideplates.
Put a set of LT4 HOT cam springs on it and you will be good to go.

That is assuming he is staying that way for the long haul. We all know roller rockers are just the beginning.

You can get them at your local dealership. They are about 40$. It's a pretty straight forward install.

It's hard to stop once you start. I've had 1.52 Promags, 1.6 Promags and 1.7 Scorpions. The 1.7's netted 10 rwhp and 6 lbft of torque over the 1.6's on the dyno. Went from a 12.97 et to a 12.86 et. at the track. Works for me!
