Help me build by true dual exhaust setup!
Ok, I know what I want, but I dont know where to get the best prices on everything. I am going to go with the coated pacesetter headers, and then from there I want to run a 3in. X pipe into 2 bullets and dump them before the rear axle. I read a lonnnggg time ago a post about getting the parts for the X pipe seperate out of summit and welding it yourself. I would like to go this route. Can someone help me out with part #s, prices, and preferences. Thanks

I run true duels back to Flowmaster mufflers and over the axle on both sides, It's a tight fit but can be done. I bought 2 1/2 bends from summit racing and carefully took it over the axle.
I have pics if your interested.

there is a local guy in my town that makes true duals. most of the cars he puts them on already had longtubes so what he did was chopped the y pipe of after it mates up to the header and the uses the jegs universal x pipe kit(100bucks). it comes with the x and all the rest of the piping you will need. he then either uses bulllets or the moroso spiral flow mufflers. i think summit has those(about 50 bucks each). to me the spiral flow mufflers give it a great tone. it is not to load driving through town but boy do they open up when you get on it. IMO the best true duals hands down.
by the way i think he uses the flowmaster scavenger turn downs after the mufflers. he said that it gives more ground clearance.
