im looking at buying a 4th gen fbody and i think ive found a good one. its 96 formula 6 speed. 51k miles, chameleon green paint. power everything, ttops, 12 disc cd, charcoal cloth interior. 100% stock, not even a muffler change. regular maintenance done. oil every 3k, new tires, new brakes front and rear. im gonna go look at this week sometime. what should i look or listen for during a test drive, or just walking around it? the price is 8500, is this a good deal? or should i not get too worried about it.

 

I'd say that's a good deal... do they seem like they'd budge on the price? Always try to get it as cheap as possible.

 

he was asking 10k, and so i offered 7k. he then said 8500 was the absolute lowest he would go. blue book for the car is just under 9k.

 

I'd go for it as long as it was in exceptionally good condition... make sure you run a carfax and check all the body pieces for collision evidence.

 

im gonna get the VIN number and give it to my uncle who has a car dealership to research it. also since the dealership is GM and has a service department, he would be able to order parts for it right?

 

Anyone can order parts for it but it's probably easier for GM dealers.
