HELP!! LPE cold air induction Issues....

Hi guys, I recently ordered an LPE cold air induction from www.lingenfelter.com Went through the process of installing it and needless to say the car is running slower than before. I took it to the race track times are way off, Car feels real sluggish and shifts feel real week..Cant explain what the issue is. Car was running great before the Cold Air Induction...Anyone else here experienced same problem please let me know.....
By the way its a 1993 LT1 Transam......

You make it sound like it should run slower after installing a CAI..

Anyway, you must likely didn't hook up everything back together like it was. Try double checking the rubber elbow where it connects to the throttle body. Sometimes it looks like it's on but the bottom side isn't even connected.

lpe cold air

both of the post answers are right on the money. Trace back your steps from bottom up. The filter is really large so make sure clamp is on right and sitting straight up(takes entire bottom tray up).Push that thing all the up far as you can into elbow, make sure elbow is not folded UNDER the throttle body. You have to have an air leak somewhere. also after everything is hooked up right where you want it secure with a SCREW that fits radiator top. Mine does good on my 93 z.Nice mod. Some guys may disagree with me but I put a little glue on bottom where filter clamps on, it will not drop off.If I need to work on it I take tray off and drop it down.I only drive my car about 2500-3000 miles a year so cleaning is not a problem. good luck. Make sure you hooked up the air pump line that goes into the side of the CAI.

I picked up 1.8mph in the 1/4 with my lpe intake. You must have a leak somewhere.

One more thing to check. If you took of the intake elbow, check the connection at the TB. I have seen a couple times were people have put it back on, and the bottom of it was folded up.

'93 = no MAF sensor guys, the engine doesn't know the difference if there's a gap on the TB elbow....

You almost cannot screw it up on a '93....make sure you got the IAT (intake air temp) sensor plugged back in.
