Help! Losing Engine Coolant

My low engine coolant light came on tonite, so when i got home i checked it out, and when my car was definitly full hot from driving home from work, there was definitly not even full cold filled up on the engine coolant dipstick. So i went ahead and just filled it up till full hot with distilled water. But as i preceded to investigate, i definitly realized i am leaking engine coolant somewhere. I looked from up under the neath motor and i saw a bunch of neon green splatters ( antifreeze ) all over the place. It was mostly all on the driver's side of the motor too. The passenger side seemed fairly clean, and i didnt see any neon green splatters on that side. I checked a few key spots i would figure could be leaking, but my 8 month old water pump doesn't look like its leaking and i dont really know where else i could be leaking. Im guessing a hose somewhere or something, on the drivers side? Where on the drivers side could i be leaking engine coolant? If anyone can help me out, or atleast tell me some steps to take to possibly diagnose this issue, that would be great.

Have the system presure checked. That may show you the leak if it is external.

Fill it back up, wipe everything down, put the car up on ramps, start it up, and look around carefully.

IF you have messed with your heads at all or possible tampered with anything in the rear of the engine bay it is very possible that you somehow broke or knocked loose the small hardened coolant lines that run to the back of the cylinder heads. I had mine replaced when I could not for the life of me determine how I was loosing SOO much coolant so quick and yet nothing normal was leaking, i.e.--hoses or pump.

Its extremely difficult to get at, but parts are super cheap for it, if that is indeed the problem.

I know mine has a small leak from the freeze plug over the steering box, hard to get at. Its easy to see when the car is up in the air, might want to take a glance at that before you starting messing with the expensive stuff.

fixed it...it was the lower radiator hose...i just overlooked it the first time...but i started up the car and had my friend give it some gas and i saw some antifreeze spraying out of that hose...it was the only hose i didnt bother replacing cuz i thought it was fine a few months back when i did the water pump. Its all good now, i also flushed the system while i was at it. Thanks guys
