I removed my motor the other day, taking to my machinest to get the block redone. I need to get my car out of the garage but there is really nothing supporting the tranny. I don't want to stress the torque arm and what not. I was going to drop tranny to the floor but don't have the car high enough for the tranny to clear the car. ? should i just let the tranny hang, or dose anyone have any ideas. use a piece of 2x4 across the strut towers and loop a chain around it to support the trans.

 

Thanks for the idea tho. I got the car back on the ground, I used a heavy duty strap and hooked it on the hooks by the sub frame. I let the lower part of the tranny, belhousing rest on the strap, and it supported it fine. Thanks Mark Tisdale.
