buy a torque wrench! It will save you these types of headaches.

I have had good luck with reverse drill bits. If that does not work use an extractor. Be very careful not to get metal in the engine.

If you buy a set of reverse drill bits, I have a snap on set, they will work for you and most times in a case like this you will not drill all the way through the bolt. That bolt is not locked in very tight. I can almost guarantee if you get a set, they will work and you will use them time and time again. Buy a kit with the reverse drill bits and extractors in one kit. This way if the bits don't work you have a hole drilled for the extractor that is the correct size for the hole.

USE A CENTER PUNCH BEFORE YOU START DRILLING!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can't get your hands on a Snap On or Matco set, I would probably go to sears and get a craftsman kit.

Just use 1/8" ratchets that way you have less leverage with your gorilla arms
