HELP how to fix no start in rain???
HELP how to fix no start in rain???
This is the 2nd time my car won't start when its wet/raining out. This time I was driving and went to take off and it stalled and wont restart, now its pushed off the road 3 blocks away. I can't have this, I just got a tune-up too. What causes my car not to start in the rain and how can I go about fixing it? Any answers would be of great help. Thanks in advance.

Beats me! My wifes v6 camaro does wierd stuff in the wet also.Gives SESs (non memory ones hmmm) shifts hard, shows low oil (oil full) wierd stuff ???? The car is fine though even when acting up...I dont know yet. Sorry
I have even looked at various sensors, because my immediate concern was a moisture issue, and found no weather packs or anything really getting wet. The symtoms go awy and so does the concern too
...because after all this problem doesnt really affect drivability and nothing is REALLY wrong
.
And Len what Brian mentioned was ignition coil not the wires apples and oranges dude. I'd look into that if I were you same symtom could get lucky and that be it. They are cheap enough

Re: HELP how to fix no start in rain???
There is a ground lug on the passenger side strut tower. It is next the little red postive terminal. It has the ground wired for the starter, ECU, and other things. It rusts and doesnt ground well after time, especially when wet. Remove it and clean the grounds well (disconnect the battery first). Reassemble.
