Help on fuel injector installation.

Hey guys,

So, only 2 things to install before the car is back on the road. The tranny will be here by the end of the week, just got the fuel injectors today.

Is there any addition hardware I will need? Is there anything in particular I should be careful with? What kind of time frame am I looking at for the installation?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Ben

All you need is an 8mm (I think) ratchet. Pull the 4 bolts that hold the fuel rail and carefully pry it up. Then slide the metal clips off the injectors and pull them out and replace em. You might have to lightly oil the Orings to re install. Because not to set the fuel rail down with the tips of the injectors on the dirty intake manifold.

When everything is all back together twish the injectors back and forth and make sure everything looks good and theres no leaks when you prime the pump. Reflash the computer before starting the engine of you could wash the oil off the cylinder walls from running too rich, and damage the motor. Takes like half an hour.

Make sure when you pull the old injectors out of the manifold, and out or the fuel rail, that the O-rings come out on both ends of the injectors. If you don't have one on each end, fish them out of the holes with a pick.

Awesome, 30 minutes, that's what I'm talking about. As for tuning, I'm taking my computer to Herters house for a $50 reflash as soon as I get them installed.

Thanks for the help guys. Much appreciated.
