Unhappy Help: Front Bottoming Out? Air Dam Scraping!

Okay so 4 months ago I went the cheap route and put SLP take-off struts on my car that had been boxed up in my garage for a while. At the same time i put in some Corvette Y2k rims. 17 in front and 18 in back. It was fine for a couple of months but the last two months the air dam has been scraping everywhere.
My air dam will scrape on even the smallest of little bumps or dips in the road and highway. Sometimes even when i brake hard i'll hear the air dam scrape the road. It's like the car bottoms out in the front.
Do i need new struts already or was the install done improperly? Maybe bad struts to begin with?

ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. Thanks

I have a wings west gfx kit so i have the wings west air dam which is slightly bigger and closer to the ground. Still i never had this problem before.

That's kinda wierd. I got the same struts and never had a problem with them. I just reused the stock springs and everything is fine. Are you sure it is the airdam scrapping or that black air deflector underneath the car (now, mine, does scrap from time to time), maybe that is what you hear.

That black deflector under the car IS the air damn.......

Different terminology I guess. I consider the air dam as part of the lower front bumper cover. Maybe your springs are getting a little weak. Could be the shock too I guess. When I took my old shocks out, they had zero rebound dampning.

Sounds to me that it's just your air damn/air deflector.. whatever works for you.. either way I wouldn't worry about it too much.. mines all scrapped up from hitting the ground.. no biggie, it's just plastic...
