Help with crankshaft choice

I am trying to pick out a crank for my motor. I am boring it .030 over, and just want a nice forged crank to compliment my other forged internals. Am planning to run a 150 to 200 shot on it. I am on a budget, was thinking about maybe a scat. Anyone have any thoughts?

stock crank...it will hold up with forged rods and pistons...
unless you want a stroker...then eagle is a nice piece

Yeah I was thinking about keeping the stock crank, but a forged crank would make me feel better about it. I cant have this motor blow up on me. Did u get my text about the w/p?

yep, i dont think youll push that crank hard enough with a 150-200 shot...with heads youll be near 600..still i dont think its the part to worry about, piston/rod/rings are more likely to let go...if you go with a ctroker crank though i think youll still have to notch the block even with i beams, in that case you should buy my eagle rods...and go all out...

but the nice part about a stroker crank is you have more cubes so you can do a bigger cam and it will be more tame....

The eagle parts are junk, tolerances all over the board, and no depth of hardening. If you want a forged crank that is not pricey, get a Scat or Probe. I have used many of both brands, and they are in spec most of the time and are better material than the eagles...not all 4340 cranks are the same

How do you plan on keeping it together with a 150 or 200 shot? Nothing like puttin the juice to her but not making the bottom end to handle it. Let's not forget the 2 bolt mains either.

I say go for it, just use ARP main studs and some high quality rod bolts. I need to see if your set-up holds up. That way I can give it a shot (no pun intended) in a couple of years.
