Help with crane 10308 valve spring kit.

I some how i lost a valve lock that came in the kit and i am in the middle of my cam swap. Can i use one of the stock valve locks or do they need to be hardened. They cost 35 bucks and i dont want to buy 36 of them just for one. If anyone has a spare i will pay for it. Let me know.

I'm pretty sure the Crane keepers are 7° just like the stockers, but I would carefully compare the groove heights and if they look the same, give it a try and see how well it seats in the retainer. with that kit, also make sure you have clearance from the rocker arm to the retainers.
