help coolant in passenger floorboard . . .

my temp gauge went real high . then went back down real fast to normal . but when i got home i noticed water and coolant in passenger floorboard . what could be the cause .

Sounds like its time to replace the heater core.

how hard is it to replace heater core and how much is the cost ? thanks

lol! same thing happened to me about a year ago. quick fix for the summer i just took the heater core out of the cooling system... still haven't replaced it...
