Just want to make certain that the LT4 did not have lash caps on the valves from the factory and removing the lash caps won't have any negative effects on the stock valves.
I know there are some valves made of soft metal where lash caps are required, and they can give a little added protection if something wears and gets the geometery screwed up, but I need to remove them in order to use the +.050 locks to give me enough spring install height.

 

There were no valve lash caps on the LT4's.
