help on choosing a fuel pressure regulator
I put in my car a 255 ltr/hr fuel pump, and I have 30 lb/hr injectors. I have stock fuel pressure regulator. I do have my computer reprogrammed for 30 lb/hr injectors. Couple guys told me that I am running very rich mixture with stock fuel pressure regulator, and this is slowing down my performance. When I press on the gass, I can see my fuel gage drop in my eyes, and then later it comes back to where it was. My car is definatelly sending too much fuel. What is a good brand of fuel pressure regulator to go with? I am looking to spend somewhere around $100. Also, how hard is to change it. For those who have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator installed with a performance fuel pump, did you notice difference in your car's performance. Am I safe to drive my car with stock fuel pressure regulator for right now
U don't need an adjustable regulator, if u'r running rich now, u'll run rich after changing the regulator. The solution is to lean it out throu the pcm.
Its been said much to often in that LT1s don't respond to adjustable regulators.
Having said that, I got an AFPR when I didn't now better, its a hypertech, had it for about 3 yrs, no problems at all.
