HELP!! Car idle is horrible!

My car is having big problems idling. I just got back from a trip to new orleans in it. 1500 miles roundtrip. It runs like it has an aggressive cam, loping almost (rpms drop and rise, drop and rise). The problem is it has the stock cam and has never acted like this. It feels like it is going to die at the stoplights rpms are fluctuating so bad. Its not the maf. Because i cleaned it and even unplugged it and it still did it. Any suggestions would help. Thanks, Michael

I'd say first and foremost check your plug wires to see if they're burnt, cut, or arcing.

Can I clean it? Or do I have to buy a new one? Thanks, Michael

Replacing the fuel filter seems to have solved most of my surging.
