HELP!!! Car died, won't run! Optispark?

Last night I was driving my formula around and parked it after driving for awhile. When I got back in to take off again, it started but wouldn't rev up... it sputtered and would continue idling but give it gas and it would just die. I checked the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and it's got full pressure so it's not a fuel delivery problem. It finally stopped running altogether and it will not start back up. Is the Optispark the problem? I haven't had any problems with it since I bought it, other than an off idle hesitation. It was running perfectly fine up until that point. Is there anything else it could be besides the Opti? I ordered an Opti in just in case, but I don't want to install it if it might be something else. Also, since my car is a 93, it has the older style Opti in it, should that be upgraded/can it be upgraded? Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is my only car right now.

It can be upgraded, but with alot of work. You have to have a new timing cover and chain. Also I think you have to have a newer style cam, as well as poke a hole in your intake elbow.

Can you tell the difference between a 15psi and a 30psi spew from the schrader valve or did you actually put a test gauge on it? Might be the opti or something else, but you have to accurately rule out stuff to keep from chasing your tail. Have you checked for spark?
