im having a hard time figuring out what cam i want for my set up.

ported heads that flow about 258/200 at .500 and port matched intake
pacesetter long tubes and hooker cat back
1.6 rockers and new lifters. already have 987 springs
32lb injectors
csi water pump and double roller chain
3.42 gears i have to install

i just can't make up my mind on a cam.
i was thinking maybe hotcam or 218/224

i dont want a monster cam that i have to rev really high. if i can just rev a bit over stock then thats what i really want and good driveability but of course really good power.

so what do u think of my setup first and what do u think i should do for a cam. just give me some suggestions so i can get this cam ordered.

sounds like a descent setup, Id get a cam in the 226-229 range. should have good midrange and idle pretty good too. with heads that flow like that and all the other stuff you got, it'd be a shame to snuff out he power with a small hotcam. you would prolly get alot of torque out of it, but power would be way off what th rest of the combo is capable of. and, a good stall conv. will really wake up that car with those mods esp.
