help with cai

today i installed my moroso cai but i have a problem finishing it. the fit between the cai and the maf is too tight and pushes in on the elbow alot and pushes everything up. it seems like i should have more slack but dont?

Re: help with cai

Mine's fit perfect. Are you sure you got it for 94-97. You can cut the end to shorten the CAI where it meets the MAF.

Re: help with cai

yup its the 94-97 one.
well i just went out and tightened all the clamps up and it seems to fit good now. it sits down quite low and have no problem with hood clearance.
i guess maybe its just normal to fit a little tight there. i had to push in on the elbow quite a bit for it to come together.

I had to cut alsmost a half inch of the my Moroso to get it to work/fit. The end that gos into the MAF. After that , it was perfect.
