HELP! breaking in rear brakes.

I just replaced the rear pads and rotors. But the rear drivers side is hot. I smelled the heat and the rim was hot. I jacked the rear end up so the tires were off the car. And I could spin both the tires. So my question is how do you break them in?

By hot I dont know how hot your talking but its very normal for them to get hot. Also new metal will have a smelly hot smell for the first few heat cycles. It also is very normal for the rim to heat up some too.

I can touch the rotor on the passenger side for like 3 seconds or more. But the drivers side I can't touch for more than 1 second. It's just weird that it is only the drivers side that is hot. Like I said I jacked the car back up on the rear and spun the tires. So I am lost why this rotor is getting so hot.
