help beat a vette
All cars were not created equal. Besides he did say stock. Alot of stock vettes trap 106-108, atleast at the track that i go to.
Also you need to consider that c5's were made from 97-04. A 97 would get landed on by a 04. I dont know what is all different on the besides the intake, but i'm sure theres a little more.
when I just had headers and exhaust, it was around the year 2001. So there were no LS6 intake C5s running around. And I would disagree that they were "slow C5s" because they are all slow stock. SHORTY headers none the less, and full exhaust I dynoed 296rwhp 327rwtq... I dont see how a 300rwhp 300rwtq C5 could win that race...

300rwhp is a little low for a C5. 310 is probably average. 300rwtq is a lot low. Try 330-340.
my heads were ported by a local guy. he said he was able to get to within 90% of 300cfm i dont have the flow numbers on hand i need to look for them. and the guy who tuned my car selected the cam from the numbers my porter gave him. the car wasn't dyno tuned but it was tuned on i guess you could say real world driving, as in he had a lap top hooked up to the car and would take it out for a ride and tune based on his readings i guess. if the cam is too big thats fine because i am planning on stroking the car in the future. i am just kind of trippin out because i would think i would AT LEAST be able to be right there with him with all that is done to my car. oh and we went from bout a 35 roll.

Well theres something way off on your car if you are loosing to a stock-stockish C5. And flow #'s aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
