Have you had a dyno tune recently? That will let you know where your at. Reviewing a dyno graph will let you know if the car is performing as expected. Then, if you need additional mods for more HP you can figure out what to do.

Whats wrong with your car is that its a solid 300 pounds heavier than that Corvette, and possibly still less powerful. An FRC C5 weighs in at just under 3200 pounds, where your car is a minimum 3500, unless youve done some weight reduction.

Kinda like the extra "e" in "heavEy". Verts are extra heavy to compensate for no roof.

Have to agree a bit with Speed with his comment, plus when you say race, did you race from a stop or a roll?

My lid+catback LS1 will walk any stock C5, and is almost perfectly matched for my uncle's C5 M6 w/ Corsa exhaust.

I would think that an LT1 with heads, cam, and full bolt-ons would be significantly faster than my car. I'm not familiar with the cam, and you didn't give any specifics on your heads. Assuming they're well matched to each other and to the rest of your engine, I'd have to conclude that your tune sucks.

Did you race from a stop? Did you have traction issues?

Ditto on that. Mine weighs 3621, without driver.

P.S. A 396ci'er. putting out about 650hp should do it.

Really? My t-top LS1 car weighs 3401 without driver. I didn't realize that convertibles added so much weight.

You definitly have something wrong with your car to lose to a basically stock C5. I was beating stock C5's with just headers and full exhaust. I hate to say it, but I would go dyno and see what is wrong, because something is definitly wrong.

You must have been racing some slow C5's. I was door to door with a C5 with a catback, intake and tune from 20-135 when I was trapping 114.

Thats pretty sad. Who ever put that combo in your sig togather should be ashamed. A strong running bolt on lt1 would take one from a dead stop. They are what? Low 13 second to very high 12 second cars at best. Something is horribly wrong with your car.

No stock c5 should make more power then a H/C lt1. Even the cam only guys put down more rwhp then a stock c5.
