A brand new GM opti lists for $531. That includes the cap and rotor. GM does not sell the housing by itself, but aftermarket suppliers do.
Just the GM cap and rotor lists for $246.
A new GM coil lists for $63.
A new GM opti harness lists for $142.20.
All they did was charge you list price for everything (just what every shop does and perfectly legal), except they should have not charged for the opti and cap and rotor.
