Help again with schraeder valve!
Does the fitting for a fuel line thread on the outside or inside or the spout on the fuel rail (where the schraeder valve was)? I need to know ASAP! I am installing elect. fuel press. gauge and need to route sender, so I am using some fuel line.
The Schrader is -4AN male, which means you need a -4AN female fitting to screw onto it (after you remove the core from the Schrader). Your fuel pressure gauge sender will be 1/8" NPT male, so you need to convert from one to the other.
The way I did it...
NOS Part # 17535 -4AN female x -4AN male 90-deg swivel fitting. This gets the connection pointed away from the cowl, and allows you to rotate the fitting on the Schrader without damaging the Schrader. It is only swedged on and will break off very easy.
-4AN braided hose from -4AN swivel fitting, to a 1/8" NPT brass coupling. NOS makes a 24" -4AN hose with -4AN on one end and 1/8" NPT male on the other.
-screw gauge sensor into the brass coupling, and tuck it away, behind the PCM. The wires can go from the pressure sensor through the big rubber grommet behind the PCM

I used the NOS swivel Fred recommended (thanks again Fred), but I went straight to a 4AN T fitting, that then goes to my NX fuel solenoid and an 1/8" NPT fitting for my FP sender. It's been very sturdy so far, so I don't know if you really need the extra length of hose or not. Your choice, I suppose.
