On the f-body, I know of no use of the vented opti before 1995. Maybe this 1994 had a conversion done to it.
You can find pictures and diagrams of the vented opti system on my Tech Page.

hate to sound really stupid, but i can't tell by the diagram either.the line with the check valve is attatched correctly.the other in the diagram looks like it goes under air intake duct.i took the duct loose and can't see anywhere for it to go.thanks for your help,i like your website!

Re: help on '94 opti vacuum lines

Do the connections on the Opti look like the factory parts in Shoebox's pictures? There is a site that shows how to "convert" a non-vented Opti to a (sort of) vented unit. Involves drilling holes and epoxying connections on it. Maybe someone did that to your Opti.

I have a VERY late 1994, one of the last ones built, and it left the factory with a non-vented Opti.

If that is the stock elbow and it does not have the port for the opti fresh air inlet, then you know it did not come stock with a vented opti. You can just poke a hole in the elbow to be able to plug in the vacuum barb (you might want to put a dab of RTV on it).
