Help !!!!
I have a 1995 Camaro Z28 LT1 all stock parts. I just purchased the car approx. 2 months ago. When I bought the car I had to put about 2 quarts the radiator reservor. I have been checking it since and it has been fine. Last week I took about a 300 mile trip got there it was fine, ran the A/C on the way back and it was about a half gallon short. Also felt some missing during acceleration on the way back. Been driving it around all week with A/C off and radiator fluid is fine. Ran the A/C today and is approx a quart short. No visible leaks at all, No radiator fluid smells. What could cause this, I have been told possibly a intake gasket? Have reciepts for car looks like gasket was changed about 20,000 miles ago. Oh yeah car only has 56,000 miles on it.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Re: Help !!!!
Are you only checking the level in the reservoir, or also in the radiator? Is there air in the system? You have to be sure the level in the radiator is up to the top of the fill neck, and that all the air has been removed from the system using the two bleeder screws.
