help

Hi i have a 1995 z28 camaro i got into an accident with it, so i took it too a body shop to get it fixed, the car ran fine when i got in there, and they told me it was over charging so they disconneted the alternator, so when i picked the car up i put the wire back on, and its running like 10,57 volts, and the alternator was boiling hot, umm do u think it could be the alternator, or a ground somewhere, im kinda new to this and am not sure about charging systems thanks Anthony

Take the wires off the alternator and the battery and measure each wire resistance to ground.

The accident probably pinched a wire to ground somewhere.
