I know it has to be an ignition issue of some sorts... here goes

THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN THE RAIN

After a bit of driving in the rain the car will spit sputter.. barely run.... the only time it will run properly is if I mat it and the rpms come up it runs fine.. if you have anything but full throttle.. it spits and sputter.. does it at idle as well.
I've checked the following:
Plug wires=fine
plugs = fine

Car has MSD opti...

I have already jacked the car up and sprayed water all over everything under the hood.. EVEN DIRECTLY AT THE OPTI to try and make it replicate the problems and I can't get it to... I even misted the MAF w/a spray bottle thinking maybe the motor was somehow sucking up water...

The second it rains and I drive for a bit in it.... it starts to happen again.

I tried putting di electric grease all over where the plug boots go over the opti thinking moisture.. but that wasn't the issue...

I don't have any leaks on the car.. but that shouldn't matter b/c it only happens when it rains.

I can't figure out this problem and this has driven me to finally sell the lt1 trans and all to do a sbc swap.... But I really don't wanna hack the car up for it.. please help me find the problem... anybody please.

THE CAR RUNS PERFECT any other time w/no problems.

 

Problem solved.. if anybody was keeping up w/the thread.... Re oiled filter... no more issue.
