HELP! 4l60e???

is this what my 95 formula a4 has stock?

if so...

i need a rebuild... but for my own confort... i'd rather just have a new tranny put in... how much for a new one from GM?

how much for a rebuild, just in case... better (will the rebuild blow in 20k,,, whereas a new one would blow in 50k?)

if i do have it replaced... how much is my broken one worth? it still works... just won't go above 2nd gear.. 500 bucks? 100 bucks? scrap metal?

I had mine rebuilt a while ago for my 1994 A4 camaro. It cost around $1300 for it. Im not sure what a new one would run.

I think a new one will run you between 1700-2000. I could be off with that figure. A good rebuild will be just as good. However, in many cases you dont get a get rebuild, instead you get a half *** job and get charged an arm and a leg. I would drop a new one in there if you have the cash

I was told it would be about $1200 for a rebuild and $1600 for a new tranny. Luckily I didn't end up having to resort to that.

I was e-mailing him for my cousin who needed a rebuild, but he just stopped responding to my e-mails. Is he still around?

damn, I just got mine built pretty strong (well above stock) from a shop thats been around 30 years here in town for 700. Every single person that I talked to that used them loves their tranny fromt that place. call around to some of the local shops and find a good deal. IMHO 1300 dollars is being raped, but it may just be that the shops around there just charge more....

With LT1Dave great prices on rebuilds/ street-strip set ups - Is there any reason to use a Stage III, with full on race items ?

Would a Stage II be just fine for everyday driving or will the added componets for the great price really be better ?

I see he had good prices on a 3200 Torque Convertor, anyone have any exp with these ?
