My auto went out on my 1996 SS and I resently bought a t56 conversion for it. The t56 is out of a 95 formula. Would the tranny part of the wiring harness work with my OBD2 computer from his OBD1 computer. Need to know asap...or if not where I can get one. Thanks in advance

 

The wiring harness for 4l60e is completely different than t56. T56 uses 4 connectors. Reverse lights, reverse lockout, cags and Vss. Vss has a separate connector for either tranny, you will need to splice into a4 harness to connect reverse lights, and will need to move a pin in the computer's connector and splice into harness at transmission for reverse lockout. Never bothered looking into cags. When I did this I had a shop manual so finding wiring diagrams was easy. I also do not believe obd1 or obd2 will matter for you (my t56 was from a 96).
