Re: Heavy duty battery cables

I replaced both my negative and positive cables with cables from Advance... Nothing special, just the ones you buy off the shelf.. They are larger gauge than stock... I believe stock size is 6 these were 4... I did have to make seperate wires for both the alternator and the one going to the junction block... I thought the size of the pigtails off the new cables were too small... After I removed the old cables, I couldn't believe how corroded they were inside after I cut them open.

I've seen a link here or another board of someone that makes cables specifically for our cars... I'll post the link if I can find it.

I just made my own with parts from Knu-Konceptz and PartsExpress. 0 Ga from the Alt to the Battery, Battery to Dist Block, Battery to Stereo, and the main Grounds.

I have a set of these wires on each of my cars. It's a nice upgrade from GM's stock crap.
