heater core
I wish I would document the stuff I do with pictures as I do it. then I could have a cool how-to site. It isn't too difficult just drain the coolant. disconnect the 2 hoses going to the core under the hood passenger side at the firewall. go into the car remove glovebox door and the plastic piece underneath. remove the plastic core cover box thingy. it is like 3 or 4 little bolts then you will see the core. there will be 1 clip bolt thing holding it in place remove that then comes the hard part.... manuvering that sucker out and then the new one in... reverse the process. fill up the coolant be sure to bleed the system properly and viola.
BE CAREFUL getting the new one in. You won't want to do it again real soon.

if you are not leaking anti-freeze on the pass. floorboard, I would definately try the flush first. If after that, your heat doesn't work, get a Haynes manual. They do a pretty good job of describing and walking through changing the core out.
