heater core ?

heater core ?

anybody know of any quick fixes for a leaking heater core? well, besides bypassing it? if not, anybody know a good place to get a new one? also, how much of the dash am i going to have to rip out to get it out? thanks,

Could very well be the simplest thimg to replace on our cars. Put one in mine last weekend. Drop the glove box and you will see a access box, remove three screws slide it off and there is the heater core, very simple and easy. any parts store can get them.

The best fix you could do is to replace it.

I sure would not want antifreeze in my carpeting. It is almost impossible to get the smell out.

I agree with Shoebox...smells horrible! It was a whopping $65-$70 from the parts store downtown, so it's not worth messing around.
