Well it almost sounds like a rubbing/grinding noise. Its strange it only happens when I am at higher speeds. 80 on up. I have aftermarket gears that came with the car. The wine pretty damn bad. Think a tooth is broken on them? Or do you think its a suspension problem, or my tires? I have BFGoodRich G-Forces. Pretty much brand new. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Mine made a sound like that just before I riped apart my pinion gear.I figure I fractured it at the track then when I hit off a lights on the street if finished it off.It made that grinding sound for about 2 week from that last track visit and when it finally broke.

 

Same thing happened to my rear in my car. Went to the track and ran in the 11:80's 2 weeks afterwards driving to work, I heard a lod clank and the rear died. I was running aftermarket 4:11's and had a whine in it. The whine was louder after the track event so I knew it was gonna go soon.

 

Shiot...yeah the whine is pretty damn loud. What is a good brand of gears to replace them with? Currently I have 3.73's.
