Hi! I have a 94 Z28 and I am experiencing something a little weird. Whenever the automatic transmission shifts at a higher rpm I hear and feel a thump from underneath the car. I also feel the shifter vibrate while this is happening. When I drive the car and let the car shift at low rpm, I hear no thumps and the car shifts very smoothly.

Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Sounds like it could be a tranny mount. A buddy of mine broke one in his automatic and it did exactly the same thing your talking about. Have a look at the mount. I think you will find your answer there.

thanks guys for your feed back! That's what I suspected but I just wanted to bounce it off some experienced people! I will change it out.
