The machine shop had to take .015" off of my heads to my LT1 (camaro, aluminum heads) to get them flat again.

The factory gaskets measured about .050", but the fel pros say they are about .042".

Should I be worried about my intake manifold lining up?

Which gaskets are the thickest, so my heads will be as close as possible to being in the right place.

you will have no trouble with intake alignment with under .030 change, also, just think, you will have slightly more compression
