Heads help

I am having a set of LE2 heads installed but between the valve and piston there is only .008 clearance but should be .080 without a gasket it is degreed right and has 0 back lash on the valves what could be the problem please help I bought the heads off Z28.com

How are you measuring that distance?? If that is accurate you have all right to be worried.

get square off ur block both ends and mic. off that double chk heads also

Yea, describe exactly how your going about checking valve to piston clearance.....that way one of us can see if something stands out easier......what cam?.....what LSA?.... and less importantly but im curious, it's lift?
