Heads/GM847 dyno... dissapointed

Well first off I only got one pull in because after the initial run my oil pressure dropped pretty low. Also my valvetrain decided to get really noisy, so we didn't want to chance it. Also this pull was through full exhaust with a couple few leaks I didn't realize were there until after I capped the cutout. So here in the next week or so I will be trying to hunt down all my little gremlins.

Down to it... the car only made 303.6rwhp @ ~6650 and 321.2rwtq @ ~3800. I don't really feel like uplaoding my dyno graph for such crap, but if someone wants to see it I guess I will. The car is also RICH, not too rich but rich non the less. The air:fuel was in the 11.5-11.9:1 area all the way across, mostly staying in the 11.5:1 area.

Here is a video of the pull, sorry for the crappy quality, my buddy with the camera slept in so I took this with my phone.

I'm guessing something along that lines is the reason why it mal performed.

Pulls those valve covers off and see what's going on.

Yes, and like I said I am going to try to figure everything out and get it dynoed again in the next week or so.

Ignore "cutout" in the mods list, it was capped for this run.

Little less fuel and a little more timing.... add in converter slip and your not too far off. If it performs at the track thats what matters

It feels stronger than it did when it went 12.9 @ 110. There is definitely something going on in the valve train and it either got worse last night or I blew out a header gasket. So I have to get that figured out before it can go to the track. Don't want to make anything worse that it might already be, ya know?

The way you can tell if it's a header gasket... Put the engine under a good load by using a high gear at low speeds and push on the gas. If the noise becomes louder then most likely it's a header gasket.

I don't have my build sheet in front of me, but off the top of my head:

Freshened up LT1, block was hot tanked, cylinders honed for new LT1 pistons, LT4 rods, and brand new GM LT1 crank. Chrome molly piston rings (gaped for nitrous), Comp hardened pushrods, new main bearings/cam journals/blah blah yada yada everything new. Heads are stock LT1's ported and polished flowed a best of something like 270/210 @ .600 after being freshened up and worked on a little more, can't remember what springs are on the heads but they have 1.52 comp promag rr's on them. 36LB injectors, and I am really tired at the moment and can't think of anything else, lol.

Good maybe it's just a header gasket. Either way the valve train is definitely too loud, so I still need to figure that out. Oh yeah I don't think that I mentioned that when the car was pulled off the dyno the oil pressure went back to normal.
