heads,cam,nitrous VS cam,blower,nitrous

which is better for a daily driver? i have heads, cam, nitrous right now but a friend has made and offer to trade my heads for his vortech s trim blower. has me tempted. i knwo the stock short block wont like boost much, but im only planning on 6 lbs if i swap. i do have another motor i was building up which can be built up for a blower with modest boost. so what would be better? this car has to be emmisions legal. the cam is a 224/236 xe cam, and the car is a m6. the blower is very tempting but will i be limiting my power band? if i run nitrous with the blower it will most likely be a 100 shot with the use of nitrous controller. thanks for your help guys!

What LSA is the cam? If its a 112 or less you will bleed off a lot of boost.

Nitrous is better for a daily driver.

the cam is 114 lsa. no i want to use the nitrous in conjunction with the blower/cam or the heads/cam. so thats not an issue. i just want to knwo if id be better off with my heads/cam or take up his offer of the heads for blower and go blower/cam route. i am fully aware that the short block wont last long but im building one up in the garage anyway. but i plan on usign 6 lbs of boost with a max of 8 lbs. im just worried about a narrow power band with the blower. how long does it take to build full boost?

i mean heads/cam + nitrous package is more driveable....SC is harder on the engine....IMHO

If you are going to build a brand new short block to back it up, I would recommend the blower/cam deal. The blower has pretty much the same power range as a good cam does, so you won't be giving up too much driveability I think. Plus, a short block built for boost and a camshaft chosen for boost will also work better with nitrous. Good luck.

I'd do the blower/cam afterall if you build the other engine for charger than you can just add moe boost for power, plus with just the heads and that blower cam your kind of limited if you want more. Do you have flow numbers or track results with the combo your running
