Heads/Cam finished, won't start.

I'm assuming this is ignition related... Pulled a spark plug wire off and hooked it up to a spark plug and didn't get anything. So it's either down to coil or opti. Both are new, MSD Blaster Coil, hoping that may be the problem (ground or coil is just bad). I'll put the stock one back in tomorrow to see if I get anything.
Also, when I was filling up the block, I had quite a bit of coolant gush out where the thermostat sits, I'm just hoping it's not a problem with that.

well. Ground the coil wire and crank the car over see if it sparks, if it doesnt, theres your problem, if not hook the opti up, and hold the plug wire to ground.

Make sure you ahve the wires in the right order

I figure, even if the dowel pin was in the wrong hole (which I know it isn't) or the plug wires weren't in the right order, I'd still get some spark. So hopefully it has something to do with the coil.

Where's that at? Hopefully that's my problem... changed back to the stock coil and no go.

Any other suggestions?

Yea I already went and checked, no luck. I was hoping that was it since that's what I hooked my electric waterpump to. Are there other fuses to check?

if coolant was "gushing" out of the thermostat housing it posibly could have damaged the opti maybe....good luck tho and keep us updated

Chiltons Section 2-1 iirc, "Troubleshooting a no-start condition".

Best advice I can give, it is very thorough (just be careful the wire colors for the ICM weren't right in my Chiltons for my '95).

Unfortunatly for me both times it pointed me to Opti (actually to the harness connection into the opti), and both times it was right .

I plan on ripping out the opti today, mess with it a little and see if I can get it to start before I put the w/p and everything back on. If not, I'll get another opti and go from there.
