heads?

what are the best or highest flowing aluminum heads for a lt1 with a Gm 847 cam

Well, there are LOTS of options when it comes to heads. The cheapest and best alternative IMO is to go with ported stock LT1 heads. Advanced Induction (http://www.advancedinduction.com/) and Lloyd Elliot (http://www.eportworks.com/lt1.html) have lots of experience here. Talk to them about your goals with the engine, they can tell you where to go.
