Headlight motor?

My right headlight goes up, but doesn't go down? If I manually put it back down, it will flip up. I was told when I bought the car 2/3 months ago it had 2 new headlight motors.
Any ideas?

i just fixed a problem like that on a 96 i sold to a buddy 6mo ago. on his, there are 2 plastic tabs sticking out of the mounting panel,{ that goes all the way across}, that serve as stops for the motor linkage. one of the plastic tabs was broken but not completely off. just bent. the linkage was climbing up on the stop therefore leaving it in a bind. instead of purchasing the mounting panel for $376.41 list, i fabricated an "L" bracket out of 1/8" steel and drilled it so i could mount it to one of the bolts that hold the motor in place. this now serves as the linkage stop and works like a charm. it's also much stronger than the original plastic tabs.
that may or may not be your problem as the design of our headlight door systems leaves plenty of opportunity for screwing up. it may be the imfamous plastic motor gears getting ready to strip. that is a frequent problem on these cars in case you were'nt aware of it.
i replaced the gears on that car and the 96 i have now with brass gears. heres some more info:
