Angry HEADIGHT MOTOR DILEMMA Need help ASAP

Alright i've had problems with my headlight motor since about the begining of the summer and never decided to fix it until now. Heres the problem i was driving my car as usual and came home went indside and went back out and my Passenger headlight was up so i tried to turn it off but no luck so i poped the hood and i hear the motor still running and the little plastic thing on top of the motor is melted off from the motor spinning in the open motion and not getting anywhere. so i juz unplugged it and left it at that. i recently ordered a used headlight motor and went to install it tonight and i tested it with the wires on my car and the new one does it too it juz spins to the open motion. I dont understand it at all.. basically the passener side headlight wants to open ALL the time i dont know what to do but i need to fix this any help would be appriciated..

Just taking a stab in the dark, but isnt there a sensor there? It senses when the headlight is all the way up. You might want to replace it. Or try the headlight fix. It worked for me and my headlight was doin stuff like yours.

Its worth a try.

Try the headlight fix before anything else.

i dont need the headlight fix the motors them selves are fine and dandy. and i know of the free fix and i have a gear in one of my motors. the problem is not the gear i think its something with the wiring or such the motor works fine. The problem which i'll state again is that, whenever the motor is plugged in it automatically starts moving in the open position and wont stop unless its unplugged.
