Headers toasted my O2 wires, have to fix and need advice
Headers toasted the O2 wires on the harness so that I can't just buy an extender to fix it. I have searched and read many different things, so I have a few questions.
Is it ok to use regular copper wire? I read something about using stainless steel wire?
Should I solder the joints or no? I suck at soldering so I will avoid it if possible?
And, is there an easier way? Can I buy just the harness from the PCM to the O2s, knock sensor, etc. somewhere?
Thanks

Copper wire works fine...
You're best bet would be to defenetly solder them...
here's an easy way to do it...
Strip the wires... coat them in flux... then solder each wire seperately (tinning the wire), making sure each wire has a nice coating of solder... then just touch both wires together and heat them up.. the solder from both wires should both melt and hold the wires together quite nicely.

Easy fix - just go to Autozone or whatever's around you and ask about some quick connects. Pick up some of the same guage wire and you should be good to go. No soldering necessary.
You may want to pick up some zip ties while you're there
